Individual
psychological support
A space to explore emotions, stress, insecurity and life transitions. Together we can understand what feels difficult and identify personal resources, wishes and choices.
Sometimes what you feel needs time, words and a relationship in which it can be welcomed.
I support you in exploring what you are experiencing, understanding your needs and discovering new possibilities in your relationship with yourself and others.

You may want someone to talk to during a time of change, when a relationship feels difficult, or when you notice yourself repeating patterns that no longer feel helpful.
Psychological support offers a space to make sense of your experience. We begin with your concerns, your story and what matters to you, and agree on the aims of our work together.
The support described here is intended for adults.
The focus, tools and frequency are agreed around your individual needs.
A space to explore emotions, stress, insecurity and life transitions. Together we can understand what feels difficult and identify personal resources, wishes and choices.
Explore how you experience connections, the expectations you bring to relationships and what happens when you feel distant, disappointed or unseen. We begin with your individual experience and the meaning you give to your encounters with others.
Learn to notice tension and bodily signals, and explore attention, breathing and relaxation practices. Tools are introduced gradually, with attention to how you feel.
My completed postgraduate training in Clinical Sexology has deepened my understanding of experiences involving the body, sexuality and relationships. These themes can be explored in psychological consultations at your own pace and in response to your concerns.
Arianna Magelli is undertaking psychotherapy training at NOUS, with a mindfulness-oriented cognitive constructivist relational approach.
The constructivist perspective explores how each person gives meaning to their experiences. The same event can be experienced in different ways: understanding its personal significance can help us better understand how we relate to the world.
A relational focus makes room for what happens between people, for emotions and for exploring new perspectives together. This perspective informs her ongoing training and her way of listening.
Arianna Magelli is a psychologist and a psychotherapist in training. The service offered here is psychological support.
George A. Kelly’s personal construct theory considers how people interpret experience through personal meanings. His work is a historical reference for approaching the constructivist perspective.
University introduction to Kelly’s theory ↗Where helpful, consultations can include guided experiences that bring attention to the present moment and the body.
Jon Kabat-Zinn developed Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction in 1979, helping bring mindfulness into healthcare settings. His work is a reference for exploring present-moment awareness.
The practices I offer are integrated into individual support; they are not presented as an MBSR course.

My psychology training comes together with experience in body awareness, breathing and mindfulness. In psychological support I pay attention both to words and to how experience is felt, respecting each person and their concerns.
I am completing a clinical placement at SVS Donna Aiuta Donna in Milan as part of my psychotherapy training at NOUS.

I listen to what brought you to seek support, your expectations and the questions you would like to explore.
We discuss goals, frequency and format. Before we begin, I share information about fees, confidentiality and informed consent.
We return to what emerges and how you are experiencing the sessions, to decide together how to continue.

There is no fixed number of sessions for everyone. Duration and frequency are agreed around your needs and reviewed as we go.
